The prospects of investing during the Biden administration changed dramatically when Democrats won the two senate seats in Georgia. Now the bulk of legislation including another stimulus will progress unimpeded, at least in the beginning. A lot has been written about Biden stocks to buy and stimulus stocks to be in the run up to the election but there was always the likelihood of a fight with the Republican controlled Senate. Although every vote in the Senate may require a tie breaker vote by Vice President Harris as President of the Senate, Biden […]
With much hullabaloo the White House announced the completion of a Phase One trade deal with China. The Chinese negotiators in Beijing are said to be ecstatic and even incredulous at how they believe the Americans caved in on previous “rock solid” negotiating positions. But, stocks rallied a bit and many investors are happy. The question now is what investments will benefit from the phase one trade deal, how secure these benefits will be, and how long they will last. The Chinese have a long history of promising things in regard to world […]
Just the other day the stock market rallied on news that the USA and China were close to an interim trade deal. And then the market slides back on news that there would be delays and problems. But, markets don’t have a good track record of following up on a rally of that size.
“There are four other years since World War II that the S&P was up at least […]

A lot of attention has been paid to the handful of high tech stocks that have been leading the market higher and higher. But are these really the best places to put your money?
